Mission Statement
The goal of this website is to encourage green purchasing practices by providing consumers (residents, businesses, and other organizations) with the information necessary to buy products that protect our health and our environment. Included is a regularly updated database of product information, complete with product names, green attributes and the local supplier.
The database of green products is constantly growing. After completing the Office Supplies sector, we moved onto Cleaning Supplies and then Yard and Garden Supplies. Our most recently launched category is Maintenance Supplies. We hope you enjoy exploring this site. Please check back regularly as new products and stores are added.
Finger Lakes Buy Green has been developed through a partnership between Tompkins County Solid Waste Management and Sustainable Tompkins with support from the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.
